	Entering Lake Bay on Ester Island can be alarming at this time of year. The Pink Salmon run is in full swing and fish are jumping out of the water.

	"Bear on the Dock" - Dave and I were going to the safeboat on a SAR callout and as I reached the bottom of the ramp I turned to face a black bear just five feet away. The bear and I ran in opposite directions.
	Sometimes the fishing can be pretty good on Prince William Sound.
